More Information on Brazilian Waxing
Waxing is hygienic
Waxing of the pubic area is not new. For centuries other civilizations such as Persia and India women were waxing their pubic hair. One of the main reasons was hygiene. Pubic hair collects germs that can cause bad odors. It can also cause a variety of skin irritations. Waxing your entire pubic region will dramatically reduce the risk of these problems. Shaving is time consuming, causes skin irritation as well bumps, ingrown hairs and itching.
During the day, the area between your legs perspires. If you have pubic hair, the bacteria can nestle in that hair. If you are clean, the perspiration will be absorbed directly onto your panties minimizing the chance of infection.
Waxing gives you freedom
You can wear any swimsuit you desire with confidence. Lingerie will look and feel better. Wearing your panties will be much more comfortable.
Waxing is quick
In about 30 minutes you will be completely waxed and enjoying your new found freedom.
Waxing is NOT uncomfortable
The discomfort is not as bad as you would think. At Lady Wax ~ Body Wax Studio we specialize in this form of waxing creating a very comfortable treatment.
How to Prepare for Your Brazilian or Bikini Wax
How to Prepare for Your Brazilian or Bikini Wax
- Showering before your appointment is helpful. (wet wipes are a lifesaver and we provide those in the treatment rooms)
- Hair must be a quarter of an inch (think short grain white rice) to adhere correctly to the wax.
- Resist the urge to shave between sessions! Shaving chafes the skin and creates sharper, coarser hair!
- RELAX. Come to your appointment as relaxed as you can. Like a lot of things in life, the anticipation is often worse than the actual event.
- Know that it gets better. We get that first timers don’t know what to expect. The first one will be the most uncomfortable, especially if you’ve been shaving prior to it.
- Medicate if you must. Some say that taking a couple of advil or ibuprofen 20 minutes before your appointment may help.
